Meet Marquee: Annie Nguyen | Recruiter

Meet Annie Nguyen, a CSUF graduate who joined the Marquee Irvine team early last summer.  Since then, Annie has been a rock star Recruiter, specializing in manufacturing and production. When she’s not on the job, you can catch her cheering on the Lakers and visiting family in the Bay Area.

What is the very first thing you notice on a resume?
The very first thing my eyes naturally get drawn to is the candidate’s most recent position.

What saying do you say too much?
I definitely overuse “lol”

What is your biggest pet peeve at the office?
When the internet is down. There’s never a good time for that.

Who do you most admire?
The first person that comes to mind is Kobe Bryant, my favorite basketball player of all time! He’s relentless, intelligent, and fierce…very inspiring (#mambamentality).

What was your very first job?
My first job was in high school – I was a teacher’s assistant at an after school center for Kindergartners.

If you could only eat one thing for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Potatoes and all of its various forms. French fries, tater tots, mashed potatoes, baked, potato wedges, etc.!!

What is the best movie of all time?
I’m a huge fan of Christopher Nolan movies. I can’t decide between Inception or Interstellar!

What did you want to be when you were little?
I first wanted to be a teacher, then an actress, then an interior designer…Oh how times have changed.

Cats or dogs?
Dogs!!!

Snow or sunshine?
I love the snow but you can’t beat a nice and sunny day by the beach. We sure are spoiled in Southern California.
